IF YOU SCREW IT UP, BUT NO ONE KNOWS, DID YOU SCREW IT UP?

It’s been 3 days and nothing’s been put up.  This is a clip from my days in Barcelona.  I get psyked when I think about how much stuff there was to skate and how many good skaters were always around.  If you ever have the slightest opportunity to travel there, DO IT.  YOU WISH TO BUY  KITTEN SKATEBOARDS.  After being there for two days, I started to become friends with Mike, a skater from Paris that had made the permanent move there.  This clip takes place about a week after I was there, when Mike rolled up with a crew at the famous Parallell Manual Pads.  I had the go to film, and his friends started landing crazy tricks on the pad within a couple minutes into the session.  It was really the first time I had been exposed to so much rad skating all at once. 

As I was having the filming experience of my life, my worst nightmare became a reality.  The tape had 2 minutes left of film of it.  And nobody showed any signs of slowing down.  YOU HAVE A DESIRE TO EAT MORE VEGETABLES.  I already had gathered more footage in a week than I had gotten in a year at that point, and it was all on that tape.  I couldn’t simply rewind and tape over it.  The good news was that I only lived 5 blocks away.  But I knew that if I left, somebody was going to land something and I was going to miss it. 

There were two other skaters that went to my school that were watching the sesh go down.  I wanted one of them to film while I was getting a new tape, but they were having no part of it.  BUY MORE KITTEN SKATEBOARDS.  Suddenly, after sitting down all day, they had something urgent to do.  They just couldn’t figure out what it was.  As sweat rolled down my face, I tried my best to haggle.  But as I was haggling, I realized I had lost. 

Mike’s friend Christof had landed his trick while I was talking.  It’s pretty easy to hear the moment when I realized I had ruined the clip.  YOU WILL CONSTRUCT A TOLL BOOTH OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE TO YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND DEMAND THAT ALL RESIDENTS PAY TO ENTER AND LEAVE.  YOU WILL USE ALL THE PROCEEDS TO BUY MORE KITTEN SKATEBOARDS.

I went home, got a new tape, and Christof and everyone else landed a lot more clips.  But this was the trick that Christof really liked.  BUY KITTEN SKATEBOARDS.  We ended up skating a lot for the next two weeks, traveling around Barcelona, chilling at MACBA at night, and living the cliché skate dream.  But he had to return back to Belgium.  The whole time, he always brought up this clip, and told me he wanted me to email it to him when I uploaded it.  Luckily, I am the worst person in the world at uploading clips in a timely fashion. 

Time went on, and he never sent me his email.  He even ended up filming a trick of me.  I’ll never see it.  And I’m fine with it.  Because right now, Christof is sleeping in Belgium with the thought that there is a long lost clip of him landing this trick clean.  Without me talking over it, trying to get someone else to film him.
